Terms of service

Effective date: [TBD operator: effective date] · Operator: [TBD operator: name] ([TBD operator: address]). Plain-English text. If anything’s unclear, write us — we’ll fix the wording.

1. Acceptance & effective date

By creating an account or using RemoteJobs.team you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. These terms apply from the effective date above and supersede any earlier version.

RemoteJobs.team is operated by [TBD operator: name], [TBD operator: address]. See the contact page for full operator identification.

2. Who can use this

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be a real human. Automated accounts, scraper bots, and AI-agent-only accounts are not permitted.
  • You must have been invited by an existing member. There is no public registration.
  • You must use your real name and a working email address.
  • One person, one account. Sharing or operating multiple accounts is grounds for suspension.

3. Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your password secure; we’ll never ask for it by email. You agree to keep your contact email working — we use it for invite, message, and security notices. You can soft-delete or hard-purge your account at any time from Data protection.

4. Code of conduct

  • No spam. No unsolicited bulk messages, off-topic DMs, or recruiter-style cold pings to members you don’t actually know.
  • No harassment. No discrimination, slurs, targeted abuse, or doxxing. Members can report abuse at any time.
  • No misrepresentation. Don’t fake jobs, mentorship credentials, or profile facts.
  • No off-platform recruiting funnel. The network is not a lead list.
  • Use invites in good faith. Don’t sell invites. Invite only people you actually know.
  • Respect mentorship as a gift. Mentors donate their time — no payment, no SLAs.

5. Job postings & warm intros

Any member may post a job. The poster commits to personally hand off candidates who reach out through the warm-intro CTA unless they opt out at post time. All job posts must be fully remote — hybrid and onsite listings are removed. Mis-categorising a role to game filters or hiding office days behind vague phrasing is grounds for hiding the post and, on repeat, suspension. We don’t proxy applications; the apply URL belongs to the hiring company.

6. What you post

You own your content (bio, profile, messages, job posts). By posting you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host and display it to members for as long as your account is active. When you soft-delete, content stays attributed to “Former member”; when you hard-purge, it is removed. Don’t post content you don’t have the right to post.

7. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate an account for repeated code-of-conduct violations, misleading job content after a warning, platform misuse, multi-accounting, or legal compulsion. We’ll email you the reason. You may close your account at any time via Data protection.

8. Disclaimers

RemoteJobs.team is provided as-is. We don’t guarantee that you’ll find a job, that any specific job is suitable for you, or that any specific mentor will reply. Members are not our employees, contractors, or representatives. Jobs are posted by individual members and are not endorsed by us — do your own diligence before signing anything.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Czech law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, nor for the outcomes of any interaction between members. Total cumulative liability to any one member is limited to CZK 100 (one hundred Czech crowns) — RemoteJobs.team is a labor of love, offered free of charge specifically on that basis.

10. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Disputes that can’t be resolved through the contact form first will be settled by Czech courts with jurisdiction over Prague. For data-protection matters, the supervisory authority is Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (ÚOOÚ), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czechia — uoou.gov.cz.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Substantive changes (new obligations, new data uses, change of operator) will be announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Typo and formatting fixes we just make — the “Effective date” at the top of this page reflects the latest substantive revision.
